Join over 300 of your fellow high school swim coaches for the 35th Texas Interscholastic Coaches Association Clinic! Learn from the best in college and high school swimming, techniques that work and can help you become a more knowledgeable and successful coach. Whether you are new to coaching or have years of experience, you'll have 3 days of talks on Swimming, Diving and Water Polo and learn what has worked to train swimmers from the high school level all the way up to olympic medalists.
The 2018 TISCA Clinic will be held September 13 -16, 2018 at the Double Tree Austin North Hotel.
Registration includes admittance to all talks at the clinic, The Speedo Awards Luncheon on Saturday, two socials (where there's a good chance you'll walk away with a raffle prizes!) and continental breakfasts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All participants will have access to the vendor area which will include all the major swim brands. There, coaches can see the latest technology to improve their swimmer's technique and see what swimwear will be available for the season. (Please note that The Theron Pickle Endowment Golf Tournament is separate from the clinic and are not included in the registration fee. Also TISCA membership dues are not included in your registration fee (see below)
Registration for the 2018 TISCA Coaches Clinic is $150. Save money by getting your registration in before September 4th, 2018 to receive the special early bird registration price of $112.00. Click here to print out a registration form.
In Person Registration
If you are paying for the clinic when you get there or are waiting for your district to pay - please go ahead and fill out a clinic registration form and email it to email@example.com so we can have your badge ready and have a better head count for food for the luncheon, socials etc. Please note on the registration form if a check or PO is being sent or if you will pay in person at the clinic. If you are still waiting for a check/PO when you arrive at the clinic, some form of temporary payment will be required before you can receive your badge to attend events.
If you still need a hotel room, the time to get your room at the special clinic rate has expired. You can make reservations directly with the Doubletree at 800-347-0330. Rooms may be cheaper if you book online through hotel sites such as Expedia, Trivago etc. so be sure to shop around for the best price. When last checked The Doubletree hotel was completely sold out for Thursday September 13th and there is the possibility they will sell out at some point for Friday and Sunday. If you are looking for a room for Thursday there are a couple hotels options on the same block as the Doubletree and a dozen more that are close by on I-35. Within walking distance of the clinic is Studio 6 at Midtown and Drury Inn. Also check Expedia and other hotel sites regularly as there may be cancellations for The Doubletree for that Thursday you can pick up.
Although you do not have to be a member of TISCA to attend the clinic, we encourage you to become a member of TISCA. Members can attend the board meeting on Thursday and have the ability to vote for board members. If you're not already, you can become a member of TISCA by going to www.tiscaonline.org and paying dues online. Ron Raper will also be set up next to the registration/check in table during the following times to sign up new members at the clinic:
Friday 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Saturday 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Saturday 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
TISCA membership dues are separate from the TISCA Clinic registration fee. They go to two separate places so please do not combine or send TISCA membership dues with TISCA clinic fees.
ADDITIONAL LUNCHEON GUEST
Saturday’s Speedo Awards Luncheon is included in the registration but if you have additional guests joining you for the luncheon that are not registered for the clinic, meal tickets will be available at the clinic registration table for $35.00.
Please note that there are no refunds for any reason unless the clinic is cancelled.
Vendors will be on hand to show swimsuits, equipment and other items that can help your program. Vendors help support the clinic so please stop by their booths to see what is available. If you are interested in becoming a vendor email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that clinic attendees may not sell or market products at the convention without a reserved booth in the exhibit hall.
The 11th annual Theron Pickle Endowment Golf Tournament will be on Friday September 14th at the Bluebonnet Hill Golf Course. This is separate event from the clinic. For more information about how to register for the tournament click here. This is fun event with no golfing experience necessary. The $60 Fee includes Green fee, Cart, Range Balls, Personalized Scorecards, Personalized Cart Signs, Breakfast and Lunch. There will be prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, and Top Team finishers. And best of all, the money raised goes to the Theron Pickle Endowment which awards scholarships to four deserving Texas high school swimmers each year.
